Information for Young Researchers
PIEC actively encourages the participation of doctoral students and early-career researchers (defined as those within five years of completing their PhD) in all areas of Economics, Finance, and Econometrics. The conference provides a supportive and engaging environment for early-career scholars to present their work, exchange ideas, and build professional connections.
Participants may choose to present their research either in a poster session or in a regular oral presentation, depending on their preference and the nature of their work. Both formats aim to foster constructive discussion and feedback from peers and senior academics.
Selected young researchers will also have the opportunity to join “Meet-the-Experts” breakfast sessions, where small groups of participants will engage in informal discussions with keynote speakers and policymakers. These sessions are designed to offer mentorship and insight into current research and policy challenges.
In addition, three single-author papers will be recognized with Best Paper Awards, acknowledging outstanding research contributions presented during the conference.
